Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How difficult is the trek to Fure?
Fure is deeper and more remote than the standard routes. It requires good physical condition as the trails are narrower and involve more altitude changes than the 2-day trek.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
While blankets are provided at the accommodations, we recommend bringing or renting a sleeping bag for extra comfort and hygiene, especially in the rustic cabins of Fure.
Can I see the waterfalls all year round?
Yes, the Huaruro Waterfalls are impressive year-round, but they are particularly powerful during or just after the rainy season (January – March).
