We will start he tour to the “Uros” floating islands picking you up from your hotels in Puno and then we will head to the harbor in the Titicaca Lake, here we will board the ship that will take us to the wonderful “Uros” floating islands.
The “Uros” inhabited these islands hundreds of years. The Uros people knew how to collect large amounts of reed cane and put great quantities of them together to form small islands similar to platforms. These millenary habitants continue building their own islands regularly adding new layers of reed. Their houses and boats are made of the same material.
On the “Uros” islands we will visit native families, small schools, souvenirs stores, and we will also be able to have a ride on small reed boats made by them. Finishing our tour on the islands we will return to Puno.

Nuestro tour a las Islas Flotantes de los Uros inicia con el recojo del hotel en Puno para dirigimos al puerto del Lago Titicaca donde abordaremos a la embarcación que nos llevara a las maravillosas islas flotantes de los Uros.
Los Uros habitaron estas islas por cientos de años, el hombre de los Uros supo cómo sacar la abundante caña de totora existente y juntarla en grandes cantidades para luego unirlas y así formar pequeñas islas a manera de plataformas, estos habitantes milenarios permanecen viviendo en artificiales islas de totora, conocidos como la tribu del agua, pues tienen que construir sus propias Islas periódicamente, agregando nuevas capas de “Totora”. Sus hogares y sus botes están hechos de este mismo material.
Podremos visitar en las islas de los Uros, familias nativas, escuelitas, tiendas de recuerdos e incluso podremos pasear en sus pequeñas embarcaciones de totora hechas por ellos.
Finalizado nuestro recorrido por las islas de los Uros retornaremos a Puno.
