Itinerary: Cusco – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu
Day 1: Connection to the Wonder
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 04:30 AM for your transfer to the Ollantaytambo Train Station. You will board a tourist train for a 1 hour and 45-minute journey, enjoying a delicious break and stunning Andean landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our representative will welcome you and guide you to the bus stop for the 30-minute ride up to the citadel. You will participate in a 2-hour guided tour of the Sanctuary, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial (Intihuatana), the Royal Quarters, and the Temple of the Three Windows.
After the tour, you will have free time to stroll around the archaeological site at your leisure. In the afternoon, depending on your train schedule, you will return to Aguas Calientes by bus to catch your train back to Ollantaytambo. If you choose the Vistadome service, you can enjoy a Saqra dance and alpaca fashion show on board. Finally, our staff will wait for you at the station to transfer you back to Cusco, arriving around 19:00 PM.
